Being an adult Type II

Hi there,

Well I'm going through strange happenings, my readings are in the 90's, I'm gaining weight, my hands seem puffy and I have no energy! ARGH!

I had more energy at the beginning of all this when I was in the upper 200's! I know, I know, the upper 200's and into the 300's is not good for me. But I'm still drinking my regular Pepsi, I'm eating normally, not binging or anything. What is going on???

Comments:
Mel, mel, mel! Are you really still drinking Regular Pepsi? Have you tried PepsiOne? I like it very well. Regardless of your readings, drinking sugared soda pop cannot be a healthful activity for one of us type 2s, can it? Keep on going, Mel, you will find an answer, I'm sure.

I just caught up on your back entries, as I've been adding blogs to my list. I was diagnosed at the end of december 2006 and am still trying to figure out this rollercoaster ride.
I'm sorry to hear about your problems recently, and I'm thinking good thoughts for you.
Reading through your entries, I was trying to follow what you're taking now, but got confused. If you don't mind me prying, what are you taking for diabetes meds currently?

Hi,

Actos 15 mg 1 tablet per day

Amyril 2mg 1 tablet per day

Glucophage XR 500 mg 2 per day

I'm still retaining water and gaining inches around my belly. My readings are between 90 and 150 depending on when I take them.

I tried the Pepsi 1 but my readings not only went up again but I started getting my sore throats again. Pepsi instead of drugs to keep sore throats away.
